The MEB platform adopts the modular design concept to standardise and modularise the various parts of the vehicle, with a high generalisation rate, which not only improves the production efficiency and reduces the production cost, making the models more competitive in terms of price, but also enables the rapid launch of models with different configurations according to the market demand and the construction of a complete product matrix.
From the product end, the modular design of the MEB platform will bring numerous advantages. In terms of space, the MEB platform reduces the complex systems such as the front engine and transmission powertrain required for traditional fuel models, and puts the battery flat underneath the car and integrated into the chassis architecture, which gives the MEB platform models advantages such as a larger wheelbase and shorter front and rear overhangs, and more space in the back.

14 | Charge retention and capacity restoration | (1) When the ambient temperature is 45℃, the battery module shall be stored at SOCmax for 30 days, the charge retention rate shall be not less than 93% of the room temperature discharge capacity, the capacity recovery rate shall be not less than 97% of the room temperature discharge capacity, and the incremental increase of DC internal resistance shall be not more than 8%. (2) When the ambient temperature is 45℃, the battery module shall be stored at SOCmax for 90 days, the capacity recovery rate shall be not less than 95% of the room temperature discharge capacity, and the DC internal resistance increment shall be not more than 20%. (3) When the ambient temperature is 60℃, the battery module shall be stored at SOCmax for 30 days, the charge retention rate shall be not less than 87% of the room temperature discharge capacity, the capacity recovery rate shall be not less than 95% of the room temperature discharge capacity, and the incremental increase of DC internal resistance shall be not more than 15%.
